Half-mirror
It is a translucent mirror with metal thin films or dielectric multilayered membranes so that the reflectance and transmittance of the Incident Light are 50:50.
Principle
It is a translucent mirror designed to reflect half of the light from source and penetrate the other half by deposition of a metal thin film or dielectric multilayered film with a reflection rate of 40 to 50%.

Effect
Half Mirror due to transmission/reflection characteristics becomes a mirror when looking from the bright side to the dark side, and on the contrary, a transparent window when looking from the dark side to the bright side. In addition, the light source is separated by transmittance and reflection light at a ratio of 50:50 and can be used as a Beam Splitter.

- One-way perspective mirror, like a police interrogation room.
- For screen synthesis on two cathode ray tubes on 3D television.
